Post-millenniialism also teaches that Christ couldn't or wouldn't come back to earth while the world is sinful and that when it is converted men will invite Christ back to the world to reign.

.........This not the teaching of the Bible.

....................The purpose of our dispensation is not to convert the world because all will not believe. It is the calling out of a people to serve as kings and priest with Christ during the Millennium and forever.

Read Revelation 1:5-6; 5:9-10; 20:4; 22:5

The theory of post-millennialism is dangerous.

...............It would have man and his works take the place of the work of God.

............This is the belief that man brings in the Millennium through his own efforts and gets his own happiness without the grace of God.

...............This interprets that the Church is to set its range until the whole world is converted, then bringings the millennium. But in reality the Church is far from accomplishmenting this than in the time of the Apostles.

Although we can't know the day or the hour of His Second Coming, we can know and should realize that it is to be pre-Millennial not a post-Millennial Coming.

...............That is, He is coming before and not ofter the 1,000 year reign of Christ on the earth.

Revelation 20:1 "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

Because some have foolishly tried in the past to set dates for the Second Coming of Christ and has failed, it doesn't take away the fact of His Coming.

...............We have been warned by Jesus Himself against date-setting Matthew 25:13. "Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

And another theory is that all the prophecies concerning His Second Coming are to be spiritually interpreted, that there is no literal Coming.

...............This would destroy the truthfulness of God's Word and give it no effect; like the belief of the Jews when they spiritualized the prophecies of His First Coming which were literally fulfilled.

..........If the Bible was literal of His First Coming, it has to be literal of His Second Coming.

Others think that Jesus' Second Coming is the preaching of the Gospel.

..................Not correct...the preaching of the Gospel has been done for centuries, But His Coming is to take place suddenly.

Read Matthew 24:27-51 and 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

And others believe that Jesus' Coming took place at the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

...............This couldn't be because at His Second Coming He is to restore Jerusalem, not destroy it.

Read Zechariah 14:1-15; Luke 21:24

Some think that death is the Coming of the Lord.

This would be odd because about
3 souls die every couple of seconds.

Another theory is that the Lord comes at the conversion of the sinner.

...............This can't be because at conversion there is no physical coming of the sinner to Jesus or Jesus to the sinner.

.........It is a spiritual work that takes place in the heart of the sinner who repents.

There is a theory that Jesus spiritually descended on the day of Pentecost.

..........Can't be true because all of the New Testament was written after that day and all the writers wrote of a future Coming of Christ.

................Jesus, speaking of the Holy Spirit, said He would send 'another' Comforter.

There are various theories that have been held at one time or another regarding the Second Coming of Jesus.

...........................In the Old Testament there are many times as many references to the Second Coming as there are to the First Coming of the Lord.

.................In the 260 chapters of the New Testament the subject is referred to about 300 times. We pray for His coming every time we pray the Lord's Prayer.

......................Nearly every book in both the Old and New Testaments directly or indirectly records His Second Coming.

Even though many have spiritualized the truth of the Second Coming, or have tried to explain it away by one means or another; the fact is that


Jesus is coming again,

in person,

physically, and

in the same manner as He went away.

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
................4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."


Present events show that the world is heading for a great showdown.







Even the secular media is beginning to raise questions if Jesus really is coming back to earth again.

God hasn't forgotten His covenant with Israel.

..................The godly remnant out of Israel will be protected and preserved, even as Noah and his family were through the Flood.

..............................God does this by sealing the 144,000 out of all the tribes of Israel.

Revelation 15:1
"And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

................6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles."

The pouring out of the plagues [vials/bowls] is the last of God's wrath. They take place after the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet.

The opening of the temple is to let the seven angels with the last Seven Plagues to come and pour out their vials on the earth.

Revelation 11:19
.................."And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

The Seventh Trumpet continues to the completion of the prophecies given to the human race, including the judgment of the dead which takes place at the Great White Throne judgment.

............................The sounding of the Seventh Trumpet brings us to the end of "the mystery of God.....as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."

The Book of Revelation shows that there is a space of time between the two resurrections in the 20th chapter.

Revelation 20:5

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

The Seventh Trumpel marks "The time of the dead that shall be judged".

.......................This shows that the Seventh Trumpet includes all the events that complete the mystery of God.

...................................The righteous dead have been resurrected before the Seventh Trumpet, so the reference is to the wicked dead.

John 5:28 "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
.............29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

The Seventh Trumpet is a judgment but not of condemnation. But it's a serious event.

.......................There will be those who labored for Christ with wrong motives, and their works will be found as hay, wood and stubble. These will be burned by the revealing fires of judgment and their rewards will be lost.
...................They are saved, "yet so as by fire".

The labors of others will be found as "gold, silver, precious stones"; and they will receive a full reward.

1 Corinthians 3:12
............"Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
.....13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
.....14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
.....15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

2 Corinthians 5:10
.........."For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

The Seven Trumpet includes the giving of rewards to the prophets and the saints.

.........."And that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great." Revelation 11:18

This is the judgment seat of Christ.

The Seventh Trumpet takes us into the world to come when Jesus and his saints shall "reign for ever and ever."

................At the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet, Jesus has taken His "great power and hast reigned."

............Until now, His reign has been disputed by the Beast and the False Prophet.

.....But now, these wicked beings will be destroyed and Jesus' will be free to reign over the kingdoms of the world.

The Seventh Trumpet starts the reign of Christ.

Revelation 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned."

Satan isn't destroyed immediately, but he is incarcerated in the Bottomless Pit.

.................At the end of the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, he will be loosed for a little while before he is cast into the Lake of Fire forever Revelation 20:10.

The Seventh Trumpet Woe destroys those who destroyed the earth.

...........Revelation 11:18
"..........and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."

............This means the destruction of the Beast and the False Prophet, who are the ones who have been destroying the earth.




Revelation 19:20

......"And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet........
These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone."

This Seventh Trumpet Woe includes the Vial judgments that are about to come;

just like the opening of the Seventh Seal included the Seven Trumpet judgments.

.......This is the time of the final wrath of God.

Revelation 11:18 "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come,. . . . .".
