Satan/devil is an oppressor.
Acts 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Satan is a murderer and a liar.
John 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Satan is the thief.
John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Satan is also called the wicked one.
Matthew 13:19  When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Satan is also our tempter.
Matthew 4:3   And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Satan/devil is the enemy.
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Satan is the accuser of the brethren (us).
Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Satan is called our adversary.
1 Peter 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Belial is another name for satan.
2 Corinthians 6:15   And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
Beelzebub is also another name for satan.
Matthew 12:24  But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
Devil, dragon, old serpent, are also names for satan.

Lucifer is another name for satan.
Isaiah 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Satan is called an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:14  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

He appeared to Eve in the Garden of Eden as a very kind and wonderful person. It wasn't until after she sinned and had fallen from God's grace that she discovered that he beguiled her.
Satan has a kingdom.

Satan is the god of this world.
2 Corinthians 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Happy Resurrection Day!
In Ephesians 6:12 satan is described as the prince of darkness. This reveals his black nature, his complete disregard for light and holiness.
All his works are black and dark, he is described as the prince of devils.
Matthew 12:24, But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of devil.
Satan is sometimes described as the prince of this world. This means the unregenerated world; it means the world which has fallen from grace, the world that follows him to perdition.

Revelation 1:5   And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
Because satan is a spirit, he can move through space with incredible speed as other spirits can.
Luke 10:18  And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
