Heathen religions are going into the big cities. Some are teaching the doctrine of reincarnation.

          The Bible makes it clear that demon activity will be as prevalent; if not more so at the end of this age as it was in the Lord's day.

                     It is significant that all specific demon activity mentioned after the ascension of our Lord is in relation to the end of this age. We have been warned that demon activity will be powerful and violent.

For many years, America has sent missionaries to foreign lands to deliver those who were demon possessed. They brought life and hope through the Good News [gospel] and set them free.

         Today heathen religions are invading America. Large cities have become centers of false cults and demon worship. A prominent magazine states there are over 2,000 witches just in the Philadelphia area.

Christians must have power to bind the strong man, the devil. Then he can spoil his goods and set the devil's victim free.
           Matthew 12:29  Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.  

Our Lord Jesus gave authority over devils to His disciples and us.
           Mark 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
            Luke 10:17  And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.  

Jesus Christ possesses greater power than that of the devils. They must obey Him. He can break their power over people.
           Matthew 12:28, But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

The compulsion to kill has to come from deep inner drives that can only be explained as diabolical.

         Demonic power isn't seen only as the driving force behind the brutal nature of modern crime, but also behind the more subtle, pervasive spirit of the age which motivates people to do evil.

Demon power is a driving force. 
Jesus declared that in the last days iniquity shall abound.
          Matthew 24:12, And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. He was speaking in broader terms than just man's inhumanity to man.
                  He was talking about satan's last assault on the human family. Knowing his time is short, satan releases his demonic forces to do violence and take peace from the earth.

Modern crime is evidently related to demon power. Isaiah the prophet described the working of crime, conditions which were true then are true now.
           Isaiah 59:3-4 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.  

Demon power is recognizable. Much of the strange human actions simply cannot be explained unless we recognize demon power working in the world.

           The antichrist will be possessed of evil spirits. As a political world leader, he will obey the devil in ruling the world.

Herod destroying all the boy babies, 2 years old and under, of Bethlehem is another case of world of politics and demon power.
         Matthew 2:16  Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.    

Satan opposition in the political world was seen in the past by Daniel. He prayed and fasted for his people. After 21 days, an angel of God came to him and said,
           Daniel 10:12-13, . . . . Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

                      This revealed the unseen battles being fought in the spirit, in the realm of government and nations.

We have heard about the deaths of old people who's died of malnutrition and poor living but had hundreds of thousands of dollars hidden in a mattress or some other hiding place.

           Americans have allowed the dollar to become their master. That is of the devil. Covetousness has increase in the last days. The devil will rule big businesses of the future.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  

Many people are addicted to money. Greed is as much a narcotic to them as heroin is to a dope addict.

         Because of covetousness and greed, people cheat and lie. They sell their reputations as well as their bodies and souls.

                  Almost every evil in the world can be traced to the love of money.

The love and lust for money is a spirit and another area in which we can expect increased demon power.

          The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil.

                    1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.   

Paul warned against the evil of covetousness or greed, he claimed it equal to idolatry.
           Colossians 3:5   Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 

When satan leads anyone into error, he leads them from error to error, there is no end.

         There is a great revival of satanism and witchcraft which is forms of devil worship.

                  "But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils" 1 Corinthians 10:20 .

Cults, Spiritism and all groups who have their own book to lead them, who have added to the Bible their doctrines are part of the apostasy of the last days.

Paul warns us in 1 Timothy 4:1, Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 

   A seducing spirit is a lying spirit, a deceiving spirit.
   Doctrine of devils are doctrines not of Christ.

The Church must rise up and command the power of Jesus Christ to set the people free.

           Without the great power of God, it will fail in its last duty to them before the Lord returns.

There is more demon activity, more people possessed and oppressed, now than the world has ever known.

There will be amazing, extraordinary experiences with angels. 

         Already there have been reports of manifestations of angels in various places.

Most Bible-believing Christians are persuaded that we are living in the final crisis of this age.

          They believe it to be the greatest crisis of the last 2,000 years.

A world of apostasy and demon power
          1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;   

The church needs to join with Paul in 2 Corinthians 2:11 ". . .we are not ignorant of his [the devil's] devices."

          It needs to carry out the Great Commission, Mark 16:15-18, not just preach the good news, but to cast out devils by the power of God.

The real tragedy of it all is that the less the church teaches about demon power, the more control the devil takes over society.

         Half the world is possessed by the devil, the other half, mostly don't even believe there is a devil and the devil sees to it that the two never meet.

Strange happenings indicate that a power which is other than human is trying to dominate this world.

         There is a restlessness within society which can't be explained except as a supernatural activity of demon power.

People are quickly coming to realize there are definite, invisible spiritual forces laid out in battle against mankind.

          These forces are discernible in many avenues of modern life.

Satan is called Abaddon and Apollyon in
       Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.    

Satan is the corrupter of minds.
        2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
