The Fourth Beast was dreadful, terrible and strong.  It had great iron teeth.

        It devoured, tore in pieces and stamped the other beasts with his feet and was different from all the other beasts that were before it.  It had ten horns.

                The iron corresponds to the Iron limbs and the Then toes of the colossus or Nebuchadnezzar.  It stood for the Fourth World Empire, the Roman.

Four heads call for four pairs of wings; we do not know why, unless they mean the four quarters of the earth.


           The four heads of the Leopard represent Four Kingdoms.

The Leopard is the most graceful creature; but its speed here is helped by wings.


        It is small but strong, fast and fierce.  This make it a fitting symbol of the Greeks under Alexander the Great.

They were the characteristics of the Medo-Persian Empire. The side of the bear which raised up to attack signifies Persia.


          The three ribs stood for the three kingdoms of Lydia, Babylong and Egypt which formed a Triple Alliance to check the Medo-Persian power, but were all destroyed by it.

The Second Beast


The Second Beast was like to a bear and it raised up itself on one side and it had three ribs in the mouth of it, between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it 'Arise, devour much flesh.'


       The bear is the strongest beast after the lion and is known for its voracity, but it has none of the agility and majesty of the lion, it's awkward in it's movements and effects its purpose with slowness and by brute force and sheer strength.

The first Beast was like a lion and had eagle's wings.  As the  prophet watched it, he saw it lifted up from the earth and made to stand upon its feet as a man and a man's heart was given to it.

                      The British Museum in London exhibits the Colossal stone Lions with the wings of an eagle and the head of a man.

            The peculiarity of this first beast was that it had eagle's wings.  This combination of Lion, the king of beasts and the Eagle, the king of birds corresponded to the Royalty of the Head of Gold and typified the eagle-like swiftness of the armies of Nebuchadnezzar.

                    The plucking of the wings refers to the beastly insanity of Nebuchadnezzar and the lifting up and causing it to stand on its feet as a man, to his restoration to sanity.

The Vision of the Four Beasts.

Daniel in a vision stood upon the shore of the Great Sea [ the Mediterranean], and saw four Great Beasts come up out of the sea.

I.  Isaiah's Preview. 
The Prophet Isaiah sees the Antichrist as the Assyrian.

II.  Daniel's Preview.
The Prophet Daniel sees him as the Great Image or Colossus.

John saw the Dragon standing on the seashore and a Beast rose up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns and on his horns he had ten crowns and on his heads was the name of blasphemy and his body was like a leopard and his feet were like the feet of a bear and his mouth was like that of a lion and the Dragon gave him his power and his seat was a throne and great authority.

           This doesn't mean that the Dragon gave him his own throne, but he gave him power, a throne and great authority.

The Beast Out of the Sea
The Incarnation of The Dragon The Anti-God.
The Beast or AntiChrist.
Revelation 13:1-10

"And I [he, the Dragon] stood upon the sand of the sea and  I saw a Beast rise up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns and upon the horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power and his seat [throne]  and great authority.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death: and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast and they worshipped the beast, saying, 'Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?'
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name and His Tabernacle, and them that dwell in Heaven.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship Him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."

Happy New Year 2014

The second group will be converted by the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom by the Two Witnesses.

           Those will be trying times for the Israelites who will not commit idolatry by bowing the knee to the Image of the Beast. It will be a war of persecution that the Antichrist will wage against them, and thousand will die a martyr's death.

The Remnant that is left behind is divided into two groups.

       First are those who keep the Commandments of God, they are Orthodox Jews who observe the Old Testament Law.

       Second are those who accept the testimony of Jesus Christ, they accept Jesus as their promised Messiah.

The Woman isn't the Church, it's Israel.

         When the Church is caught out [raptured] no remnant is left behind, all that are 'In Christ' are taken away; but the Woman [Israel, the Jews] flee into the wilderness, the remnant that is left behind.

Confused trying to destroy the Woman, the Dragon will turn to make war against the remnant of her seed, against those Israelites left in Palestine or the nations that keep the commandments of God, and have a testimony of Jesus Christ.

           Here he will give the Beast [antichrist] his power and his seat and his great authority.

The Jewish Remnant
Revelation 12:17

"And the Dragon was wroth with the Woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

The 'Woman' and the 'Dragon' are symbols and so are the 'Eagle's Wings.'

             They speak of the flight of Israel [the woman] into the 'Wilderness' where she will be kept safe and cared for, for 3 1/2 years until the Dragon [satan] is bound.

The Woman will be given 'Wings of a Great Eagle' so she can fly into the 'Wilderness,' into 'Her Place' where she will be nourished for  a time, times and half a time, or 3 1/2 years.
