The 'Elders' round about the Throne are not heavenly or unfallen beings like the angels or 'living creatures' that surround the Throne.

           They are the representatives of the redeemed.

The name Elder is never given to angels, neither do angels have crowns and sit on thrones.

           Only the redeemed men are promised Thrones and Crowns.
