The silence that followed the breaking of the Seventh Seal prepared for what was to follow during the sounding of the Trumpets, and the pouring out of the Vials.

       The Twenty-four Elders stopped playing their harps; the angels stop singing, and the Cherubim and Seraphim and all the host of Heaven were silent, and the silence was so great that all Heaven was awed by it that John said it lasted for half an hour. The suspense was intense.

              It was this period of silence that prepared for the awful judgments that were burst upon the earth under the Trumpets and Vials.
