God has symbols of His power.

           In the Old Testament, there was the Ark of God. It was a symbol of His presence and power. It was placed in the Holy of Holies and above it was the Shekinah glory which is a light unlike any human light. There were no candles, no artificial light of any kind in the Holy of Holies.

                    When the light was gone, God was gone.
