The book in Revelation 5, held the title-deed
to the earth. Now with the book open, Christ
stands on land and sea. He is determined to
take possession of the earth.

His purpose in taking over the earth is to be
able to give it to the saints. In the next scene
He gives the book to John, who is the official
representing the Church.

"And the kingdom and dominion, and the
greatness of the kingdom under the whole
heaven, shall be given to the people of the
saints of the most High, whose kingdom is
an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions
shall serve and obey him." Daniel 7:27
